Went with J to see The Watchmen.  YEAH!!!! Having been a fan of the graphic novel I can only say they did an excellent job of translating it for screen.   What I was surprised at was the number of children in the audience.  Maybe the parents didn't know what was coming having not read the graphic novel or didn't think the movie would be as true to the book as it was.  Lucy they have some splainin to do with the shorter than me crowd.
Naked men---although after the first initial shock of full frontal male nakedness it was no big deal it was in line with the novel and make sense in context--beside the guy is blue......bit of sex and violence capitol V. --I didn't think it gratuitous--but definitely in your face.  I wonder what 3D would have been like.

And now they can't get the van started......I am without car until tommorrow.--maybe---if they figure it out

After dropping $500 on my van on new years eve ..... we are in the shop again for 4 days to the tune of $475. It appears the remote starter installed many years ago by Dukes, which they say was my original problem ---bit the dust and tried to take the rest of the van with it.
This trip the Fuel pump, computer, starter module --twice and some relay were replaced. When I went to pick the van up---ran like crap....when I took it back they said the plugs are fouled now.....and I'm still without a van.
Don't get me started on what happened on the phone===and then they claim to have lost my number....

OK new years update.......
tons of work with grumpy people
just got the van back after 2 trips to the mechanic and $500 --drove thru a big puddle and burned out a bunch of stuff. (a special thanks to the people who came an took my van cross town to the mechanic and those of you that repeatedly drove me back and forth)
watched all my video xmas gifts--all 3 errol flynn and season 8 CSI
building drawers for my pantry
replaced the shelf above stove--of course dropping the l bracket behind the stove.....causing the cleaning under the stove -eek

Yup I just finished watching the opening ceremonies live on CBET----- it was one of the best I've seen in awhile. Canadian TV ROCKS....I wonder how badly the ceremonies will be butchered tonight when broadcast by NBC.I don't know if I had a favorite part, as all of it was pretty good---but I did like the foot steps.

Slather bear stripper on deck wait screw stiff brush...power wash I have 3/4 of the deck done.
Went to Home Depot to get more stripper....they have it, I get to the checkout----they won't sell it to me as its been recalled do to causing skin irritation. PEOPLE its paint stripper.... My deck looks pretty special........

I will NEVER  ever use colored Thompson water seal again.  It didn't hold up more than 1 yr...and now I have splotchy deck.
Slather on Bear stripper    wait     scrub      power wash      repeat-----this could take all summer :(
